Night time calls for a richer, thicker formula. Your night creams should contain elastin, collagen and the essential lipids to refresh your face as you sleep. For extra hydration, spray some facial toner in your face before applying your moisturizer.

4. Serums

Unlike moisturizers, serums penetrate deep into the skin, allowing it to deliver the skin’s much needed nutrients and hydration. In purchasing serums, buy based on your specific need – brightening, anti-aging, or for acne.

5. Eye Creams

Tired of waking up with dark circles under your eyes? Then apply some eye cream around your eye area. Eye creams work great in adding moisture, and addressing the fine lines and wrinkles. Girls with oily skin should look for gel eye cream formula. This light consistency won’t turn greasy, but will still prevent skin dryness. If you have dry skin, stick with balmy-textured eye creams, and if you want to deal with dark circles, choose a cream that has vitamin K on it.

Global Market Share Comparison of Smartphones

Singaporeans love gadgets and new technologies. In the case of smart phones, our choice is often between only two brands – Apple or Samsung. Whatever we choose, we’re still sure to get a good phone. But in case you want to know which brand has more appeal, just check their market share.

The success of the newest iPhone fortified the position of Apple in the global market. Samsung on the other hand is still doing its best to outwit the competition. Apple paved the way for modern smartphones after releasing its first iPhone way back 2007. However, Samsung has actually been the frontrunner since 2011 with their supersized smartphones.

The International Data Corp showed the changes of market share in 2013 and 2014:

• 2013: In the 4th quarter of 2013, the market share of Samsung was 28.8%, which made them the leading seller of smartphones. Apple has a market share of 17.4% followed by Lenovo at 4.7%, Huawei at 5.7% and Xiaomi at 2%.

• 2014: In the 4^th quarter of 2014, the market share of Samsung was 20%; they are still the leading seller of smartphones followed by Apple at 19.6%. With its new models, Apple almost overtook Samsung for the lead. The company is followed by Lenovo at 6.6%, Huawei at 6.2% and Xiaomi at 4.4%.

The figures above prove that Samsung need to contend with other smartphone companies aside from Apple. The competition is fierce for low-priced Chinese manufacturers like the Lenovo, Huawei and Xiaomi.

Restaurant of the Future

Innovations are everywhere. We will not be surprised if we hear TVs can be accessed through voice command or in this case – restaurants with flying drones to deliver orders. Here in Singapore, Timbre Group uses flying robot waiter which is another first in the world. Timbre Group has five outlets throughout Singapore.

The restaurant chain plans on optimizing the workplace with the help of drones. What’s in it for us? Well, there are various reactions from different groups. In the perspective of the chain, they are just enhancing the workplace environment especially with the government’s tightening of labour policies. It is not a secret that the Food and Beverage sector is suffering from shortage of workers.

The drones can hold up to 2 kilos. Drones will be dispatched so waiters can engage more with the customers and promote the restaurant’s menu. The drones will not deliver the food directly to the customers because the waiter can do it to maintain that “human touch” factor. Waiters will simply get the orders in the central waiting table. 

In the perspective of the customers, drones are not welcome – yet. There are people who criticize and are skeptical about drones. Customers think that drones can be a distraction when talking and eating. That is understandable since it is a new sight. Other customers also think that drones are simply a nuisance in restaurants.

In the perspective of industry watchers, drones will be a familiar sight in five to ten years from now. As for the Timbre Group, they are seeking grants from the government to support their technology and make it available soon.

Most of the time, we do not care about what is happening around us. We just let things go by saying that it is okay. Furthermore, we don’t watch news. It has something to do with our daily living even if we say that is just all about political matters.

Knowing what is happening around you is a great contribution the Earth’s progress because it will make you realize that you need to make something commendable for the planet. You do not just lend your money to someone and say that is it intended for the saving the world. It is not like that. You need to do handwork; you have shown up and you need to experience how hard other people do in shaping and keeping the Earth on its better shape.

On the other hand, if you can’t do it because you are differently-abled or you have difficulties when you do something worry, you can help by doing little things like turning of the electrical appliances that is not used like television, lights, radio and many more. You should unplug it because electricity is still running even if you turned it off.

Moreover, you can help by recycling. The things that you are not using is a good thing to recycle; unused clothes, plastic bottles, papers such as newspaper were only few. You just need to be creative to use this as a recyclable but if you think that you cannot be artistic, you can give it to others people who it or you needs may sell it.
